Three separate paths. One shared standard.
Russell of StockAlertsReviewed and Lance of ThetaTraderz had spent years in the options trading space — Russell building a reputation for rigorous, data-driven strategy reviews, and Lance quietly developing a following as a teacher who actually trades what he teaches. When they came across Phil’s 0DTE credit spread service through Passport Trading in late 2024, they saw something different: a systematic, backtested approach that was generating consistent results in one of the most challenging trading environments in recent memory.
They reached out to Phil directly. The conversation quickly moved beyond a simple partnership — it became a shared vision for what a trading community could look like when the people running it are the same people placing the trades. TradeLab launched as that vision made real: three independent operators, three complementary skill sets, one Discord community built on transparency, consistency, and results you can verify yourself.

Phil’s background in real estate, finance, and data analytics gave him an unusual lens for the markets — one that naturally gravitates toward systems, patterns, and repeatable edge rather than gut calls. When he discovered options trading in 2019, the pull was immediate: here was a market with structure you could quantify, test, and refine.
0DTE became his focus because it matched his philosophy. “Some people are scared by 0DTE,” Phil says. “I like the simplicity of being in and out the same day. No overnight risk. In this market environment, that’s huge.” That discipline — defining entry, exit, and risk before the trade is placed — is the foundation every TradeLab product is built on.
Phil built all three of TradeLab’s core systems: the SPY ATM alert, the SPX credit spread strategy, and the SRX Levels indicator. The alerts we send are the same ones he trades. Every day.

Lance came to trading by way of a career that was always about teaching. After college, he became a licensed financial planner — hoping to help people understand money and investing. What he found instead was a system that prioritized new clients and high fees over genuine education. That wasn’t the teacher he wanted to be.
He stepped away and spent the next 21 years in the classroom — in both Texas and New York — teaching high school science. Trading became his parallel pursuit, and over time he developed something rare: a genuinely teachable approach to options income. Low risk, consistent, and built on showing his work rather than just his wins.
“Like teaching science, I’ll show you my lab work.” That ethos is the heart of TradeLab’s community. Lance runs the live Zoom sessions, leads the Inner Circle coaching, and posts his own SPX credit spread alert every morning at 10 AM ET.

Through StockAlertsReviewed, Russell built a reputation for holding trading services to a high standard — evaluating strategies not on cherry-picked wins but on verifiable, consistent performance over time. That same standard is what drew him to Phil’s work in the first place, and what he brings to TradeLab’s growth and community management.
Russell emphasizes consistency and discipline over prediction — helping traders navigate short-dated options with a structured, repeatable approach that doesn’t rely on being right every time.
